Julia Evans is a Media Strategist at McKenna Media. She got started in politics as a student organizer and worked her first campaign to flip her home district VA-02 for Congresswoman Elaine Luria in 2018.
Since then, Julia has gone on to design field programs and manage campaigns in Virginia, Colorado, and Wisconsin. She specializes in helping first time candidates, especially women and Latinx candidates, in telling their stories and sharing their strengths in a way that is both data-driven and authentic to their lived experience. In 2022, Julia helped design and produce the mail programs for state legislative and municipal candidates in Colorado, Tennessee, and Wisconsin, as well as for some of the biggest labor unions across the country.
Now, at McKenna Media, Julia brings her experience in supporting diverse candidates, and skills in project management and organization to bear in supporting the team’s partners and clients. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia and lives in Norfolk, Virginia with her partner and their very dumb (but very cute) cat.
