Kate Coleman

Kate brings over a decade of experience in advocacy, strategic partnerships, and campaign operations to McKenna Media. She develops the research, content and strategic planning necessary for our clients to succeed in the public arena.

Kate started her career in advocacy at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. She then went to work at the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and its independent expenditure arm in the 2008 and 2010 cycles, where she led operations, directed media buying and traffic, and managed multi-million dollar budgets, helping Democrats hold the majority. Most recently, she managed strategic partnerships and advocacy projects at The ONE Campaign, focusing on fostering relationships with dynamic stakeholders, forming coalitions to increase awareness and support, and setting the editorial direction for the organization’s Girls and Women program.

Kate has a B.A. from the University of Virginia and lives in Arlington with her husband and three young boys.
