Mayor Freddie O’Connell (Nashville, TN)

In his 2023 win, Freddie O’Connell’s come from behind victory was propelled by television ads that set him apart from the crowded field. On primary election night, political reporter Dave Weigel tweeted: O’Connell has one of the cycle’s best ads, memorably highlighting his vote against the Titans stadium deal.

Mayor Joyce Craig (Manchester, NH)

In 2017, Mayor Joyce Craig became the first-ever woman mayor of Manchester, NH and the first Democratic mayor in nearly 15 years. She has since established herself as one of the most effective and hardworking public servants in New Hampshire. Councilwoman Ruthzee Louijeune (Boston, MA)

The daughter of Haitian immigrants and a rising star in Boston politics, Ruthzee Louijeune turned to McKenna Media for her history-making win for Boston City Council At-Large. Louijeune is now the highest-ranking Black woman elected official in Boston city government and the first Haitian-American to represent Boston in the City Council.

US Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg (South Bend, IN)

Before the whole country got to know Mayor Pete, we worked on his mayoral campaigns in 2011 and 2015, helping him become the nation’s youngest mayor of a mid-size city.  He is now US Transportation Secretary.

Mayor Stephanie Terry, Evansville Indiana

Mayor Terry is the first African American and female elected as Mayor of Evansville, Indiana.  Evansville is the 3rd largest city in the state.  As the former Executive Director of the Children’s Museum of Evansville, we highlighted Stephanie’s commitment to the future of the city through the generation she has spent so much time preparing to lead.
