SMP turned to McKenna Media to help take down Larry Hogan, Maryland’s wildly popular former Republican governor, and send Angela Alsobrooks to the U.S. Senate. With disciplined messaging focusing on the stakes for control of the U.S. Senate, we were able to overcome nearly $30 million in spending from the Republicans to hold this seat.

Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (IE) for U.S. Senator Ruben Gallego (AZ)

We didn’t give Kari Lake one inch in her failed bid for U.S. Senate. As Senator Ruben Gallego focused on border security and the bread and butter issues that kept Arizonans up at night, we made sure Arizonans watching streaming television in this crowded media environment knew how Lake’s unfettered quest for power and control would make life worse for them.

Justice Allison Riggs (NC Supreme Court)

After years of Democratic losses on the Supreme Court, Justice Allison Riggs knew she had to tear up the normal judicial playbook in order to retain her seat. We helped her win by a razor thin margin by clearly articulating her values on reproductive freedom and connecting the stakes of the race to her own rights and future.

Lt. Governor Kyle Evans Gay (DE)

Kyle Evans Gay burst onto the Delaware political stage as an effective, get-it-done mom who could deliver for her neighborhood. In her bid for Lieutenant Governor, we helped her win a 3-way primary by focusing on her historic record of results protecting reproductive freedom and making Delaware families safer.

 

Unite the Country PAC

We are proud to work with the team at Unite the Country, where we promoted the accomplishments of the Biden Administration in key states during the 2022 election cycle.   Our ads highlighted the impact of the American Rescue Plan Act and the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act in local communities across the country, and the historic passage of the Inflation Reduction Act to, among other things, cap prescription drug costs for seniors.  In 2024, we were one of the first groups up with a pro-VP Harris spot just days after her ascension to the nomination, and supported efforts in PA, WI, MI and GA in taking the fight to Trump on the economy and his failed promises.

United Brotherhood of Carpenters

When a tractor trailer filled with highly flammable gas overturned on I-95 outside of Philadelphia, the nation turned to the highly skilled United Brotherhood of Carpenters to rebuild the road in record time.  When the UBC wanted to tell their story of success to a national audience, they turned to McKenna Media. Ever since, we have helped the UBC produce content that explains the value of union work, collective bargaining, and the threat of right to work movements across the country.

Comptroller Brooke Lierman (MD)

Maryland civil rights attorney and State Delegate Brooke Lierman became the second woman in Maryland history to be elected to statewide office when she took the state’s top financial job in 2022. Following in Senator Barbara Mikulski’s footsteps, Comptroller Lierman will fight for a stronger economy and greater opportunity for Maryland families.

Washington DC native Brian Schwalb won a competitive Democratic primary to succeed Karl Racine as the Attorney General of the District of Columbia in 2022.
